CARS

Move 1: Establishing a Territory
Technology is affecting everything lately and plagiarism has not slipped through the cracks. Advanced technology is changing the way students plagiarize and teachers detect it.
Move 2: Establishing a Niche
While there has been a lot of studies done on the quantititative side of technology's affect on plagiarism, not much has been said on the quantitative. I plan on using the quantitative data that it already out there to get a more quantitative feedback. I am going to survey both the teachers who use the plagiarism dectection systems and the students who submit work to them about their opinions and experiences.
Move 3: Occupying a Niche
The purpose of this essay is to expand off of the existing statistics into the more personal views of the affect of technology on plagiarism. The reader can expect to know how technology has affected the issue of plagiarism and the people involved and to get the statistics supported or rejected as fact or coincidence. The essay structure with be comparing and contrasting older studies and "facts" with the survey results for greater depth.
